A Christmas entry in the middle of January! Now hows about that? Here, have a photo of the clan (my side)
As you can see, Dexter is displeased that he must sit in a place that makes him unable to see Max, my parent’s little puffball, without contorting himself into unnatural positions.
Let it be known that most members of my family dive behind furniture, hide in the bathroom, or suddenly remember an appointment they must rush off to when confronted with the torture that is The Family Photo. Being photographers, we are expected to have our cameras in hand at all times, and so we get the lovely task of apologizing and groveling as we attempt to corral everyone into a photo to appease my mother’s wishes.
We played games instead of exchanging gifts, so the humiliation of The Family Photo was replaced by being forced to open presents while wearing oven mitts, and trying hopelessly to express “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” on a dry erase board without the use of words or numbers.
Dewey gets the center photo here, because, well heck, isn’t he the cutest thing you have ever seen? The boys love nothing more than to be around people, so they were happy little buggers all night long.
Easily, pleased, they are.
I hope all of our readers had a wonderful holiday season!
