We had way too much fun wrangling our pups for this year’s Christmas card photo, and I wanted to share some unedited outtakes of the whole fiasco.
Behind the scenes.. the set-up.
We wanted to attempt a photo of each pup by himself, and then, ideally, a group shot. First up was good ole Dex.
First, the problem was getting Dex to look at me, while also keeping Matt out of the shot, and keeping his antlers straight!
There were plenty of shots of him looking like he’s about to be kicked.
.. and plenty looking like he is downright being tortured. All in all, though, Dex-man was a champion.
Next up was the Dewberry. Dewey doesn’t mind his collar so much, but he *hates* his hat, and pretty much refuses to stand up while wearing it. There is shot after shot of him laying flat as a pancake on the ground, or him looking pitiful and indignant.
There are photos of winks (“Hey baby.. come here often?”)
Plenty of distraction..
And photos of him looking like he desperately needs a bathroom break.
Eventually, a suitable solo shot was achieved of each furbrain, and it was on to the group shoot!
“Aw gee, mom, I have to sit beside him?”
Dexter had pretty much had enough by this point. Many of the photos show him mid-transit, on his way to getting as far away from us as possible.
Looking at daddy instead of mommy.
And plenty of shots of him looking straight up pissed.
Eventually, we did come away with what we needed.. and here is the finished product!
Note: No corgis were harmed in the making of this Christmas card.
Erin, I love your posts, they always make me laugh. They look adorable!
