Show of hands – how many of you out there in the blogosphere read TheBloggess?
Ok, of those of you who didn’t raise your hands, how many of you read TheBloggess but you’re too ashamed to admit it?
Uh uh, I thought so.
I’ve been reading Jenny’s blog for several years now, and I just love her style. She’s random, she’s vulgar (at times), she’s hilarious, but most of all.. she is brutally honest in the most unapologetic way. I know that when I read her blog, I’m not going to get any BS. Sure, a few silly stories are exaggerated for humor’s sake, but what blog writer doesn’t do that from time to time? Jenny is who she is and her blog will occupy a spot on my RSS feed for the foreseeable future.
Already being somewhat of a fangirl, I was really excited when her new book showed up on the Blogher Book Club‘s list. Several of my favorite bloggers have landed book deals (most of them cookbooks) but this was an actual memoir, and coming from Jenny, I knew it was gonna be good.
I wasn’t disappointed. This book made me laugh, shake my head, and want to be her best friend while at the same time knowing for certain that I’d cross the street if I ever ran into her in person. It’s random, it’s hilarious, and even if you’ve never read her blog before, you won’t regret picking this one up for a light read.
And even if you don’t read the book, you should read her blog. www.thebloggess.com
