The delicious lower sugar dessert that's gone viral! Chocolate covered fruit-filled Greek yogurt bites are easy to make and fun to eat.

  • Total Time: 10 mins + freeze time
  • Yield: 8 bites

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 small to medium strawberries
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (low sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry strawberries, then chop them up very small.
  2. Add strawberries to a mixing bowl with yogurt and honey. Mix until combined.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop scant 1/4-cup drops of strawberry mixture onto the parchment. Freeze flat for 1-2 hours or until frozen/firm.
  4. Using a double boiler, melt chocolate chips with shortening. Working quickly, coat frozen bites with chocolate and return to parchment. Serve immediately or return to freezer.

Notes

You can vary the yogurt flavors and types of fruit (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, etc) to change up the flavors.

Store in the freezer, not the refrigerator.

You can make the bites smaller and make 16 of them instead of 8 to reduce sugar and calorie content per serving.
