Croffles are a fun and easy twist on traditional waffles, made by rolling up canned crescent dough with your favorite sweet or savory fillings and cooking them in a waffle iron.

  • Total Time: 17 minutes
  • Yield: 8 croffles

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 3-4 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 4-5 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 4 slices of deli ham
  • 4 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle maker.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Spread half of the triangles with peanut butter, then place a dollop of strawberry jam on the wider end.
  4. Cover the other half of the triangles with pieces of American cheese. Fold up each slice of ham and place on the wider side of the triangles.
  5. Cook in waffle iron (do the sweet and savory ones separately) 5-7 minutes or until dough is golden and crispy. Check after 4 minutes to avoid burning.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

Any waffle iron will work! I use this Bella Belgian Waffle Maker, but this adorable mini waffle maker will work great as well, and takes up less space in the kitchen.

NOTE ABOUT NUTRITION: nutritional info will vary greatly based on the type and amount of filling that you use.
