Recently, I received another blogger box from PINCHme. Unlike most subscription boxes, PINCHme is completely free. How do you get free stuff? Head over to their website, sign up, and fill out a profile about yourself regarding the crap you buy on a regular basis, whether you have any two-legged or four-legged vermin living with you, etc.
Then you have to be patient. Certain Tuesdays at 12pm ET, new samples are made available on the website. You log in, express interest in the samples you want, and sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. Supplies are limited and the samples "sell out" quickly, so if you want a good mix of samples you have to make sure you're logged in and ready to go as soon as they are released.
If you qualify to receive some of the samples, all that's required in return is to log back into your account and share your opinions about the products. And you can be honest, so if you hate something don't be afraid to let them know it.
I'm always honest with you guys, and I admit I have only participated in "Sample Tuesday" a couple of times to see what the whole thing is about. The great thing about PINCHme is that it's a legit organization, no scamming, so even if you wind up empty-handed one week, you don't have to worry that they're gonna sell your identity via the photos of your children that you post on Facebook. So that's cool.
Anywho, PINCHme sent me a samplin' of samples on the off chance that I might want to write about it. And why not? I love a good unboxing just like the majority of the Internet, so here we go:
Shortly after lifting open the top of the box, the samples inside jumped up and arranged themselves in a pretty array so that I could take this photo.
First, we have a square scrubby dish cloth thingy from Scotch-Brite. Seeing as I wash approximately 3,525 dishes every day, I'm sure I can come up with an opinion or two regarding the effectiveness and non-scratchiness of this towel.
Next are some effervescent electrolyte tablets for Hydralyte for when your toddler decides to begin puking up his meal and transforms your kitchen from a scene from The Waltons into one from The Exorcist.
(for real though, this is a full-sized tube of tablets and that's pretty cool)
Next, we have some buzz words from Slim Fast! Protein (a whole 2 grams!) Fiber! Lose weight! Satisfies hunger! AdVaNcEd NuTrItIoN (what does that even mean?) Hey Slim Fast, you already had me at sour cream & onion chips, and these are pretty tasty. I can read the ingredients and nutrition label for myself and decide if I want to incorporate these into my lifestyle, mmmkay?
Now we're talking. Purse-sized sample bottles of Cetaphil. I love this brand, all jokes aside. During the winter my skin is drier than a popcorn fart, so bring on the moisture-y products.
PINCHme clearly knows I am a new mom and require legal addictive stimulants to keep myself alive. I haven't tried this yet, but I'm intrigued. First you empty that packet on the left into a mug, put that mug under your Keurig, and then use the K-cup. So it's like an instant caramel latte with all of the milk and flavor included for you? I'm down.
So if a sample box service sounds cool to you, and if you like receiving fun things in the mail other than bills, PINCHme could be an option for you.
PINCHme sent me a Blogger Box to share some examples of products you can try when using the service.
