Flavored vodkas get a bad rap in the world of people who have more, shall we say, sophisticated palates than I do. I confess that they have been a guilty pleasure of mine for many years. I'm a sucker for trying fun flavors of pretty much any product, but flavored vodka (or any flavored alcohol, if we're being honest with ourselves) is extra fun because you can get creative with mixing to create an endless variety of tasty drinks.
Though the fall season is tapping on my shoulder with Labor Day planted firmly in the rear view, it's still a million degrees outside. Because of that, I'm perfectly satisfied with consuming summery treats and beverages for just a little while longer. So, when Pinnacle asked if I would give a simple raspberry lemonade recipe a try and share it with you guys, I thought, "Why the heck not?"
Lemonade is right up there with iced tea when it comes to a refreshing beverage on a hot day, and the addition of raspberry-flavored vodka adds a bit of fruity and a bit of naughty to a classic drink. You can use any kind of lemonade you want - bottled, canned, powdered, sugared, sugar-free, or fresh-squeezed - use what you like or what you have on hand!
