Nomadik is a subscription box for campers, hikers, and people who like to be outside!

    WHAT IS A NOMADIK BOX?

Nomadik boxes contain supplies for people who love hiking, camping, or adventuring in the outdoors.  Each box has 3-5 high-end, unique items, is themed and the gear inside is selected from the following categories:

We're both into outdoor gear, Matt even moreso than me, so I knew that a box with useful goodies and gadgets would be a nice surprise to get in the mail.  Plus, subscription boxes are just fun.  I feel like I've said that a thousand times.  I'm so addicted.

HOW MUCH DOES A NOMADIK SUBSCRIPTION COST?

Monthly - $32.95, 6 months - $31.25/mo (billed once every 6 months), and 12 months - $29.99/mo (billed once every 12 months).  Shipping is free.

There was a card in my box with a description and retail value of the gear for that month.  The box I received had a retail value of $50.

Here's everything that was in my box.  Nomadik arrived in simple cardboard packaging and was packed with blue crinkle fill, the curated goodies of the month, a card with information about each item along with a typical retail price, and a card with some information/tips for adventuring outdoors as well as details for entering a social media giveaway to win a free box.

Here's a look at the 3 items in this month's box.  Though we don't currently do any overnight backpacking or tent camping since we've dived into the RV world, I'm still planning on using those fire tools in a backyard camping/blog project I have been planning for the spring (it's been in the works for a while, I just wanted Jasper to get a little bit older!)  Let's take a closer peek at each of these items.

First is a Seal Line Blocker Dry Sack.  It comes in a compact little roll that unfolds into a huge, completely waterproof sack for protecting clothing or other weather-fragile items from moisture.

Next was an emergency fire starter by Live Fire.  It's a one-time use starter.  You slide it open, scrape up some of the material, and light it.  You then can use the lid to control the size of the flame before depositing the whole contents of the container onto your tinder, etc.

The Firebiner was my favorite item from this box.  It's a carabiner rated for 100lbs, but it's also a multi-tool.  And it's all holographic and colorful and preeeeetty.

There's a teeny safety blade tucked away for severing twine, fishing line, etc.  The extended edge above the blade acts as a bottle opener.  In the upper right of this photo you can see a small extension that can be used as a flat head screwdriver.  On the far left are hang slots for connecting to keychain rings, etc.

But the coolest part of it is the spark wheel for helping start fires, light tinder or fuel, etc.  The ferro rods inside are replaceable and it's easy to get a good spark from the wheel.  The firebiner in combo with the Live Fire fire starter are really cool items and they went directly into our camping packs for spring.
