Gramma In A Box Review | October Halloween Box

We loved our first Gramma in a Box soo much that we had to try another one!   Each themed box contains everything you need for decorating cookies and creating 2 candy crafts.  The box contains the already-baked cookies as well as pre-measured portions of all of the decorating supplies.  Easy to follow instructions for each craft are included on colorful cards.

Terry Chamberlin created Gramma in a Box and assembles the project supplies in a commercial kitchen in Vista, CA.

October's box theme was Halloween treats!  Yay!!

The first project was Oreo Spiders.  Jasper was most excited about this one because he saw the picture of the finished spiders on the card and he couldn't wait to get started.  For this project, we used the melting chocolate, Oreos, pretzel sticks, and candy eyeballs.

Jasper turns 4 in just under two weeks, and this project was perfect for his age.  He did an awesome job, was very focused on the task at hand, and was so happy to be able to do it all on his own.

Just look at that proud smile.

And who says you can't eat a cookie right before bed?

    So stinking cute.

The second project was Monster Bark.  This was the easiest project of them all, as it involved mixing in some Cocoa Krispies with the leftover melted chocolate from the first project, spreading it onto some wax paper (included in the box) and then letting Jasper go to down on decorating!

He cracked me up listening to his commentary when choosing where to place each candy.

    Annnd done.

Gramma In A Box Review | October Halloween Box

There's a cookie decorating project included with every Gramma in a Box.  This month's cookies were shaped like pumpkins, candy corn, and ghosts, along with appropriately-colored frostings and sprinkles.

Jasper chose all of the colors and sprinkle combinations and he helped me squeeze the icing onto the cookies.  I spread it out smooth for him and then let him do his thing with the sprinkles.  For the candy corn cookies, I pulled up a picture of a real candy corn, showed it to Jasper, and let him help me pick out the colors to match the photo.

    All done!

Once again, we had a blast doing the crafts together.  One of the best parts about Gramma in a Box is that clean-up is a breeze.  We had the perfect amount of ingredients to complete each project, so when we were finished I gathered up the leftover containers, placed it into the shipping box, and into the recycling it went!  Thanks for another great box, Terry!

Gramma in a Box is $20 per box, or you can pre-pay for several months to save money.  Boxes ship at the beginning of each month and orders need to be placed by the 3rd of the month to receive that month’s box.

I was sent a Gramma in a Box to review and share with all of you.
