There are a number of options for lunch on embarkation day. We chose to check out the buffet in one of the main rotational dining rooms - Parrot Cay.
No lack of color in this place! Those prone to motion sickness might want to pop an extra Dramamine on days you dine in this restaurant - located on Deck 3 aft, the rolling and pitching of the ship was very obvious, especially on rough sea days.
I chose to sample a baby spinach salad, boiled shrimp, stir fry veggies, baked salmon, and baked chicken.
Matt chose some fried pork cutlets, prime rib, a cold cut sandwich, baby spinach salad (in the bowl at the back of the photo) and a penne pasta salad.
Of course, there was dessert. I had a mini fruit tart and a white chocolate raspberry parfait.
The lighting in that photo makes the parfait look like it's levitating off of the plate. Trippy.
Matt had a chocolate chip cookie and baked apple cobbler. Um.. yummy?
The same menu available in this buffet was also being served at Topsiders, another casual restaurant up on the pool deck. This was the start of many meals aboard the Disney Magic!

This brings back many memories of our time aboard the ship, even the motion sickness part.
