I was recently contacted by this adorable gift shop, CatchingFireflies.com, and I'm so glad that I'm now aware of this place.  Seriously, just take a peek at their website - it's so whimsical and fun and full of lots of unique stuff! They were nice enough to let us try some of the creative gifts offered in their online catalog, and I'd love to share with you what we thought!

I love when companies take little extra steps to make their deliveries special.  When I opened the box, an envelope was sitting on top with a coupon, some candy, and a cute magnet made out of a bottle cap.  How cute is that lil cartoon firefly?

Okay, I know that most of you have probably seen the absolutely hilarious ad for this product.  If you haven't, I recommend clicking that link and spending a few minutes watching it.  You won't regret it.

For those of you that are brand new to this product, the concept is simple.  This is the bathroom air freshener that you use before any business is conducted.  Just spritz the water in the bowl 4-5 times, and then proceed as you normally would.  That's pretty easy, right?

So anyways, though this isn't a product I would seek out on my own, after seeing the ad I knew I had to give it a try.  People, this stuff works.  Like, it majorly works.  I was afraid it would have an artificial or chemical smell to it, but the essential oils used in the formula are fresh and extremely pleasant.  I can't say enough good things about this stuff!

I've always liked the idea of fragrant bath bombs, but I gotta be honest, I'm not really a bath person.  I tend to either overheat or freeze to death.  So yeah, I like my long boiling hot showers that steam up the bathroom so thoroughly that it makes for a dangerous journey to navigate myself over to the vanity once I get out.  When I saw these Shower Burst things, I thought it was an awesome idea!

Basically, these are like bath bombs for your shower.  You unwrap them and place them in a corner of your shower that is opposite from the water spray, so it gets affected by the steam but only gets an indirect spray from the shower head.  The result is a sauna of aroma.  They are so awesome!  Catching Fireflies has a few different scent options for Shower Burst.  Wouldn't they make a great unique Christmas gift?

Matt has a thing for any kind of drinkware, so when I saw these nifty portable wine glasses, I was intrigued.

Govino glasses are light weight shatterproof glasses (think picnics or outdoor barbecues!) that are meant to be a close substitute for drinking wine (or anything, really) out of actual glassware.  They were originally created for traveling salespeople to showcase their wines on the go without having to lug around breakable drinkware.  Pretty cool, huh? The glasses are said to reflect a wine's color and aroma similar to crystal, but you can't break 'em and they are reusable and recyclable!

The glasses have a nifty notch on the side for your thumb, so it feels pretty sturdy in your hand and gives you a grip for swirling wine.  My only gripe about them (and it's more of an opinion than a gripe) is that while I expected them to be lightweight, I didn't expect them to practically be featherweight.  Seriously, they weigh like nothing.  Not that that's necessarily a bad thing (lighter packing for picnics!), and once they have liquid in them they feel more solid.  These will definitely be a nice replacement for our picnic set!
