Here's a quick, easy, and delicious gift idea for you! Use pre-made flavored popcorn by G.H. Cretors, add a few fun ingredients to create fun taste combinations, and tie them up in a gift bag with a festive ribbon and tag. These would be great additions to your gift baskets, passed out to co-workers at the office, teacher gifts, or to anyone in your life that needs a bit of extra holiday cheer.
Mix #1: Spicy 'n Citrusy
I used G.H. Cretors Organic Chile Jalapeno White Cheddar. This popcorn has some serious zip to it and as soon as I tasted how prevalent the jalapeno flavor is I knew what I wanted to pair with it... lime! You can use gummy lime wedge candy cut into smaller bits or lime jelly beans to mix with the popcorn. Choose a candy that has a nice sour bite to it as opposed to one that is super sweet.
The bits of green add a nice festive color pop to the mix and it looks so pretty tied up with a red ribbon.
Mix #2: Cheddar Apple Caramel
I'm partial to G.H. Cretors The Mix. It is my favorite flavor from this brand, so it's no surprise that this ended up being my favorite combo. The Mix is a blend of cheddar cheese and caramel popcorn. If you've never had that combination before, you should remedy that at your next available opportunity, because your life will never be the same. A nice tart apple goes amazingly with both caramel and cheddar, so I knew that crisp dehydrated apple chips would be the perfect addition for this mix. Yum!! I just purchased a bag of apple chips at my regular grocery store - they may be in the chip aisle, the popcorn/nuts/dried fruit area, or in the natural section.
I may have to have a bag of apple chips handy for each time I purchase The Mix, because now I'm spoiled on this combination... seriously so good.
Mix #3: Nutty Chocolate Caramel
This final blend is a crowd pleaser for those who prefer a more traditional combo of flavors. This one simply uses G.H. Cretors Just The Caramel Corn tossed with some chopped pecans and semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can't go wrong here, and you can vary the nuts and/or chocolate used.
Chocolate. Caramel. Nuts. Nothing else needs to be said, really.
Which of these mixes would you want to try? Do you have any other ideas for fun things to add to these mixes?
