We got a recommendation to try out Finnegan's Bar & Grill while finishing up our day at the Universal parks. Irish food is not something that we usually go for, so we were excited to try some new things! Finnegan's is located in the New York district of Universal Studios.
The menu.
You start out with a hunk of Irish soda bread on a clover-shaped board. The bread is served with apple butter, and I'm positive that it's baked with some kind of addictive substance. Yum.
Oh man. Pure sin. This is the Finnegan's Potato & Onion Webb. Directly from the menu: "A mountain of thinly sliced potatoes and onions, hand-dipped in beer batter, crisply fried golden brown and served with malt vinegar." Can I get a big ole heck yeah to that? Excuse me, I need to go run a few miles after looking at this photo.
I ordered an Irish classic, the Shepherd's Pie. It was heaven, and the veggies on the side were cooked to perfection. You can order this topped with melted cheese, but I chose to keep it simple.
Matt ordered the Grand Ole Burger. He was eager to dig in when he took this photo, but I promise there's a burger somewhere under those lovely garnishes.
Back at Animal Kingdom Lodge, recovering on the balcony of our room. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm answering work e-mails in this photo. On vacation. SORRY.
