Last fall I fell into the rabbit hole of coffee subscription services. I mean, it's no secret that you can get a subscription for just about any theme or product nowadays, but having a freshly-roasted colombian whole bean coffee show up at my door right before they go into the grinder and end up in my morning mug puts this type of subscription at the top of my faves. Nomad Coffee Club is one such subscription, offering a different coffee each month sourced by hand from fair trade sustainable farms. The coffee is shipped within 48 hours of roasting and arrives in a 12oz sealed paper package. Each package should yield approximately 62 nine-ounce cups of coffee. Buying a coffee machine can also be daunting as there are so many available, just see here to see how many coffee machines exist and it's just shocking.
I received a small sample bag of roasted coffee from Nomad to demo the service. Here's what I thought.
Subscriptions are available by the month, 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month. Shipping to the United States is free. You'll receive a different coffee, sometimes coffee grinder as a giveaway, each month sourced from the regions of Ethiopia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Colombia.
I appreciated the detailed information about my coffee printed right on the package, as well as the expected tasting notes so I know what to expect before I take my first sip!
As with most things, you can taste the difference with the incredibly fresh beans, roasted just days before I ground and brewed them. It's fun to read the tasting notes and then try to pick out the individual flavors when drinking the coffee. Nomad's coffee was robust with flavor. If you want to try one of the best coffees in the market Runner Bean Coffee.
I can give out an honest recommendation for this service and I think it'd be an awesome subscription for those wanting to try and discover new coffee favorites. It'd also be great as a gift, It's also incredible the sheer number of coffee machines available so you really need to make sure you have researched them all before you buy.
We were sent a small sample bag of Nomad coffee to try and share with all of you. We do not accept free samples with the promise of a positive review, so our opinions are always honest!
