    How to eat low carb at Dollywood

    Yeah, yeah, I know.  Low carb at Dollywood when they sell cinnamon bread, kettle corn, funnel cakes, and cookies literally the size of your face?!?  But if you're a season pass holder and a frequent flyer at this friendly Smoky Mountains theme park, you might have days where you choose not to indulge in all things sugar and starch, and luckily, Dollywood has many options for you to fill your belly without jeopardizing your carbohydrate goals.

    Let's take a look at some of the offerings:

    Front Porch Cafe

    GRILLED CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD
    --Romaine lettuce, shredded Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing served with croutons (skip) and topped with grilled or blackened chicken.

    DOLLY'S SMOKY MOUNTAIN SALAD
    --Mixed greens salad with Benton's country ham and bacon, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, croutons (skip), hard-boiled eggs and topped with onion rings (skip).  Served with homemade ranch dressing.

    GRILLED PORK CHOP
    --Marinated and grilled 10oz. center cut pork chop topped with mango salsa (probably skip this if you're keto) and served with mashed potatoes (sub with side salad), butter fried corn (probably skip if keto) and a homemade cheddar biscuit (skip)

    PULLED PORK SANDWICH
    --Tender pork, smoked in-house for 14 hours, piled high and topped with our sweet, mild sauce (skip) and coleslaw (skip)  Served with fries (sub with side salad or green beans).  Order without the bun.

    FRONT PORCH CAFE'S CHEDDAR BURGER
    --Fresh Black Angus all beef burger topped with bacon, Sweetwater Valley Cheddar Cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on a brioche bun (skip) Served with fries (sub with side salad or green beans)

    THE REUBEN
    --Thinly sliced corn beef, pastrami, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing (does have some carbs, maybe sub for lower carb dressing like ranch, caesar, or blue cheese), melted Swiss on marble rye bread (skip) Served with fries (sub with side salad or green beans)

    CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH
    --Grilled or blackened chicken breast topped with Benton's Country Ham, Sweetwater Valley Jack Cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a brioche bun (skip) Served with fries (sub with side salad or green beans)

    CLASSIC CLUB
    --Classic club stacked high with turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss, and Cheddar cheese.  Served on butter crust bread (skip) Served with fries (sub with side salad or green beans)

    Aunt Granny's Restaurant

    --This is an all-you-can-eat buffet, so it's quite easy to stick to the salad bar, non-starchy vegetable sides, and protein options to get your fill of low carb food.

    Red's Drive In

    --This isn't the best place for low carb side dishes, but you can order the burgers or bacon cheeseburgers without the bun, and they have a grilled chicken strawberry spinach salad.

    Granny Ogle's

    APPETIZERS
    --Bacon and Cheddar Deviled Eggs, Ham and Eggs Deviled Eggs, Deviled Eggs

    BEEF POT ROAST
    -- Slow-cooked tender beef served with creamy mashed potatoes (sub with turnip greens) and Granny Ogle's pinto beans seasoned with ham (skip depending on your individual carb needs)

    PIT HAM
    -- Smoked and pulled ham served with mashed potatoes topped with brown gravy (sub with turnip greens) and Granny Ogle's pinto beans seasoned with ham (skip depending on your individual carb needs)

    How to eat low carb at Dollywood

    Miss Lillian's Smokehouse

    --All you can eat buffet with smoked chicken, ham, smoked roast beef, green beans, roasted veggie, and salad bar options

    Miss Lillian's BBQ Corner

    A walk-up outdoor counter next to the sit-down restaurant.  Offers hickory-smoked turkey legs and pulled BBQ pork sandwiches (ask if you can order with no sauce)

    Dogs N Taters

    Quick service walk-up kiosk.  What is a food kiosk? Serves one-third pound hot dogs, just skip the bun.

    Grandstand Cafe

    Quick service snack stand in the County Fair area.  Order hot dogs without the bun or the Southern Salad

    Hickory House BBQ

    Quick service.  Order pulled pork sandwiches without the bun or sauce.

    Lumber Jack's Pizza

    Yeah, it's a pizza place, but if the rest of your crew wants to eat here, they do serve up house and Caesar salads.  With all the other options available in the park though, just skip this one.

    Market Square Skillets

    Anyone who is a seasoned Dollywood visitor knows the incredible aroma that comes from this place.  With large open griddles serving up sizzling steak, plump sausage, peppers, and onions, just skip the buns!  Sausage on a stick also available.

    Craftsman's Valley Pork Rinds

    A Dollywood staple, choose from different flavors of fresh-fried pork rinds, the ultimate low carb crunchy snack.

      We're sitting in the Front Porch Cafe, where I was going to get the Dolly's Smoky Mountain Salad. It's no longer on the menu. Just a heads up if anyone else comes across this list as I did.
